University campus librarian

Prestigious American University is selecting a professional to start working the 1st of February The principal responsibilities of the Madrid Campus Librarian [Librarian] are to provide information services and instruction to Schiller International University students, faculty and staff at the Madrid campus. These services include but are not limited to reference services, bibliographic and electronic instruction, promotion of library services and resources, and general library responsibilities. The Librarian will be accountable to the Madrid Campus Director but also liaise with other Librarians at the other Schiller campuses to share best practices, exchange information and develop related library services to support the University's mission.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & POSITION REQUIREMENTS
* Provide reference services by ascertaining information needs, demonstrating the use of print and digital media, referral to other libraries or interlibrary loan opportunities via in-person, telephone, email and chat inquiries.
* Promote library services and work with faculty to develop

Se requiere:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- A Master's degree [MLS, MLIS or MS] in Library Information Studies or significant work towards the completion of a Master degree with completion date is required.
- Experience in an Academic Library is preferred. Library experience should include familiarity with and experience in reference and bibliographic instruction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook] and common internet search engines.
- Excellent oral and written English skills required; good knowledge of Spanish.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer services skills; strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate adaptability to changes in the work environment.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills and the ability to analyze and utilize data to make decisions.
