Lan / Wan Administrator

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

-Ensure the smooth and reliable daily operation of the LAN/WAN platforms by
monitoring system performance and executing tuning measures.
-Implementation support, configuration and operation of lan/WAN hardware and
system software to ensure optimal support of business requirements.
-Configuration and administration of the passive components within the LAN, like
horizontal and vertical structured cabling, the patch panels on each Floor, the
sockets on each room and the corresponding patch cords.
-Configuration and administration and manintenance of the active components
within the LANs, like Hubs, Switches.
-Assist in maintaining the compatibility of hardware systems at all levels
(Mainframes, UNIX and NOVELL servers, E-mail gateways, WAN, LAN, UNIX
workstations, WIN-NT servers, PCs, etc).

• Ingeniero Técnico
• 2 Años de experiencia

Se ofrece:

Salario: 42.000 - 48.000
Contrato: Por Obra o Servicio
Duración: 1 año
Jornada: Completa

Se requiere:

-University degree or equivalent in Telecommunications , Computer Science or
other closely related field.
-Interest in furthering professional studies to keep current with changing
technologies and maintain awareness of the latest thinking in telecommunications
theory and practice an asset.
-Fluency in English. Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
with good briefing skills.
-At least 2 years experience with the administration of a WAN communication
system.
-Knowledge of switching and routing concepts and adequate familiarity with
relevant communication protocols (TCPIIP, SNA) and CISCO routers.
-Ability to effectively work in a team environment as well as independently.
-Good knowledge of WAN technologies : point to point, circuit switching, packet
switching.
- Knowledge of internerworking technologies; frame relay, ISDN, ADSL, X25, ATM.
-Basic knowledge of encription technology, PKI, symetrical Key, asymetrical keys.

Se desea:

. CISCO Certification.
-Experience working in a multinational environment.
-Basic knowledge of UNIX.
-Knowledge of NATO security regulations
-Basic knowledge of encription technit and criptografic procedures.
-Knowledge of firewall system technology
-NATO Security clearance
